What could you expect from the Echo Awards 2010?


Deutsche Grammophon and Decca Sweep 2010 Echos

The German Recording Academy (Phono-Akademie) has just announced this year's winners of its coveted Echo Awards, one of the most prestigious accolades in the world of classical music.

We are delighted to report that Deutsche Grammophon and Decca artists, including Cecilia Bartoli, Juan Diego Flуrez, Osvaldo Golijov, Hйlиne Grimaud, Janine Jansen, Jonas Kaufmann, Lang Lang, Albrecht Mayer, Alice Sara Ott, Bryn Terfel and the Faurй Quartett, have taken the top prize in no fewer than eleven categories.

The trophies will be presented at the 17th annual gala Echo Awards ceremony, to be held on October 17th at the Philharmonie in Essen and telecast in Germany that evening at 10 pm by ZDF (the Second German Television channel).
