Stevie Wonder Headlines Hyde Park and Glastonbury
Motown legend Stevie Wonder wowed crowds on 26th and 27th June with two special headline performances in the UK. On Saturday June 26th, 50,000 fans gathered in London's Hyde Park to watch the soul icon perform.
From the moment Stevie hit the stage with a keyboard around his neck, the crowd went wild. The star, who turned 60 in May, showed no signs of slowing down as he played the keyboard whilst lying on his back!
The musician performed hit after hit with fans singing and dancing to "Master Blaster (Jammin')", "We Can Work It Out", "If You Really Love Me", "Living for the City", "Don't You Worry 'Bout a Thing", "Uptight (Everything's Alright)", "For Once In My Life", "Signed Sealed Delivered", "Sir Duke" , "Do I Do", "Superstition", "My Cherie Amour", "Happy Birthday" and "My Girl/Isn't She Lovely".
Throughout the set, Stevie entertained the crowd with his humour. Fans were so moved and uplifted by his magical performance that the whole park was filled with chants of his name. Stevie also played tribute to the late Michael Jackson, a day after the anniversary of his passing, by performing a rendition of "Human Nature" on harmonica.
The 50,000 fans were so loud that Stevie stopped singing at one point to let the crowd take over. As the sun went down, the magical gig ended with an extended version of "Another Star". From start to finish the atmosphere was electric.

On June 27th Stevie played another amazing headline set at the UK's Glastonbury festival to close the three day event. At the end of the set, Glastonbury organiser Michael Eavis took to the stage to join Stevie in singing the chorus of "Happy Birthday" to celebrate 40 years of the famous festival. The 140,000 strong crowd joined in to sing with the duo! The singer handed the organiser a special harmonica to acknowledge the 40 year event.
